At AEGIS, we prioritize the security of your Discord communities while maintaining absolute respect for your privacy. This Privacy Policy details precisely what data we collect, why we collect it, and where it is stored in our databases.

1Information We Collect in Our Database

We operate a strict "minimum necessary" data collection policy. The following is a comprehensive list of what we save to our database (SQLite/PostgreSQL):

  • Guild (Server) Information Discord Server ID, Name, Icon, and security configurations (e.g., your toggle preferences for Anti-Spam, Anti-Nuke, Night Mode schedules).
  • Admin Information The Discord User ID and Username of the person who logs into the dashboard via OAuth2.
  • Security Action Logs We log critical actions taken by our bot (e.g., "Banned User X for Phishing") to display in your dashboard's log viewer.
  • Server Snapshots For the Disaster Recovery feature, we store a JSON snapshot containing your Channel IDs, Role names, and permissions.

2What We Do NOT Collect

As a privacy-first platform, there are strict limits on what the AEGIS bot sees or records:

  • Message Content We DO NOT save the plaintext content of your members' messages in our database. Messages are held in ephemeral RAM for < 50ms strictly for real-time spam/phishing pattern detection, and are immediately destroyed.
  • Direct Messages (DMs) AEGIS has absolutely no access to user Direct Messages.
  • Voice Data AEGIS does not listen to, process, or record voice channel audio streams.

3How We Use Your Data

  • Dashboard State: Rendering your personalized settings and showing you what the bot has done (Logs).
  • Auto-Recovery: Allowing you to restore your server's roles and channels in the event of a rogue admin attack (Nuke).
  • System Abuse Prevention: Blacklisting malicious users or servers from using our platform.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We will never sell your personal data. Your data is locked in our proprietary database. We only share payment metadata with Stripe if you upgrade to a Premium plan. We do not sell Discord IDs, metadata, or server structures to data brokers or advertising agencies.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You maintain full control over your data:

Bot Kick

If you remove the AEGIS bot from your Discord server, all your Auto-Recovery snapshots and security logs are permanently purged from our database within 72 hours.

Manual Deletion

You can request immediate, complete erasure of all your data (GDPR Right to be Forgotten) by contacting our team.
